Dr. Judith Groves opened her new practice, Vision Revision, in Windsor, Colorado, in April, 2000. Her original background was in medical management prior to her optometry career. She knows the importance of listening to her patients and providing excellent customer service. She enjoys the variety of patients she sees at Vision Revision, from young children getting glasses or contacts for the first time, to those folks in their forties, needing that extra help reading, to the older adults concerned about the quality of their vision.
Dr. Groves graduated with distinction from Pacific University near Portland, Oregon, and is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometry honor society, the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. Her internships included an emphasis upon primary care and contact lens fitting at Ft. Richardson Army Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, where she enjoyed watching the Iditarod and other winter activities. She completed a second internship at the Portland VA Hospital, where her emphasis was on disease, geriatrics, and correcting low vision problems. Her third internship was with the nationally recognized Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, where her emphasis was on corneal disease and specialty contact lens fittings.
Dr. Groves has a strong interest in vision care throughout the world. She has served on two volunteer eye care trips, one to Kingston, Jamaica, and one to Baja California, Mexico, where her group of volunteers saw over 1,000 indigent patients on each trip, and gave out free, donated glasses to all those who needed them.
Dr. Groves has been a resident of Colorado since 1973 and has lived in the Windsor area since 1980. She enjoys traveling and trips to the mountains with her husband, Bob and her "kid" Maui, their 8-year-old golden retriever.
